The reality is that the answer is pretty simple: build muscle first, and next get lean! Even though sounds simple this technique requires time, effort, and a lot of hard work.
But you know what? You can do it!
To reach your fitness goals and sculpt your body you may break it down into two steps while focusing on the process.
Contrary to popular belief, this process applies to both women and men. Sculpture means shape, and shape comes from well-defined muscles. After you’ve increased your muscle mass, the following phase is to eliminate body fat to show off your hard work.
The first step is to bulk up.
Building muscle requires a calorie surplus, often known as bulking. During this period, it is critical to eat enough good calories to maintain muscle growth and to concentrate on strength training workouts. Do not focus on cardio during this phase. Keep in mind that muscle gain requires weightlifting and resistance training.
The second step is to lose body fat and sculpt your body.
Next, it’s time to reduce body fat to show off the hard work you put in during the bulking period. This is when you’ll notice the sculpting as your body fat reduces and your muscles become more defined.
It is critical to focus a chunk of your training on bulking and building. However, this might be a difficult process for some because many people are afraid of gaining weight. Building muscle demands a substantial amount of calories and also keeping up with your protein intake. It’s normal to see an increase in body weight during this period. This weight increase, however, is just temporary, and it’s critical to remember that it’s a necessary part of the process.
It’s also important to remember that this process is not only physical but very psychological. You must trust the process, trust your trainer, and don’t let your anxieties prevent you from achieving your goals.
You are on your way to a great body shape!
